In the statement made by the black-and-white club, it was stated: "Following the pain felt in his right posterior thigh muscle during our team's match against Galatasaray in the Trendyol Süper Lig yesterday, an MRI scan performed on our player Daniel Amartey at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital revealed a strain and edema in the posterior thigh muscle (biceps femoris). Our medical team has begun the treatment process for Daniel Amartey."
