It was claimed that manager Igor Tudor, who served at French Ligue 1 side Marseille last season, had arrived in Istanbul to hold transfer talks with Beşiktaş.
Beşiktaş denied the claims, with the statement including the following remarks:
"Reports in the press and on social media claiming that Croatian manager Igor Tudor has arrived in Istanbul to meet with our Club are completely baseless.
We kindly request that no credence be given to these fabricated reports, which were concocted by agents ahead of our match against Galatasaray in an attempt to disrupt the peace within our Club."
