Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat's bodyguard punches Galatasaray reporter Kaplan
A bodyguard for Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat has physically assaulted Galatasaray reporter Emre Kaplan.
Following the match, Emre Kaplan, who had tweeted about Hasan Arat and Hüseyin Yücel and was subsequently confronted by Beşiktaş journalists and reporters who told him he should refer to them as "Mr. Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat" and "2nd President Hüseyin Yücel," was subjected to a physical assault.

In the 10th week of the Trendyol Süper League, Galatasaray defeated Beşiktaş 2-1 at home. Following the statements made to the press by Beşiktaş Second President Hüseyin Yücel and Football Branch Manager Feyyaz Uçar after the match, an unfortunate incident occurred outside the stadium.
It was observed that Sezgin Gülnar, a bodyguard for President Hasan Arat, who was exiting the stadium with the black-and-white executives, punched Emre Kaplan, one of the reporters covering Galatasaray.
It was reported that Kaplan, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance, suffered a blow to his nose and a laceration on his cheek.
Following Emre Kaplan's filing of a complaint, it was learned that detention procedures would be initiated for the individual who carried out the assault.

I convey my best wishes for a speedy recovery to A Spor reporter Emre Kaplan, who was physically assaulted after the Galatasaray-Beşiktaş match.
A judicial investigation has been initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the attack.
Sports are about friendship and brotherhood.
It is unacceptable for sports to be associated with violence.
I condemn all forms of violence and hope that such incidents will not happen again.
YOUTH AND SPORTS MINISTER BAK: VIOLENCE WILL HAVE NO PLACE WHERE THERE IS SPORT
Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak said regarding the attack on sports reporter Emre Kaplan after the derby, "Violence will have no place where there is sport. I invite everyone to use common sense, regardless of jersey, emblem, or color."

Kaplan was taken under treatment after the blow he received to his face. Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak also shared a post on his social media account regarding the matter.
Minister Bak stated, "I condemn the attack on A Spor reporter Emre Kaplan. Violence will have no place where there is sport! I invite everyone to use common sense, regardless of jersey, emblem, or color. I convey my best wishes for a speedy recovery to our reporter colleague and wish him well."
