Beşiktaş has released a statement on its X account regarding Yeni Akit Newspaper, which held the club responsible for the Maccabi Tel Aviv match and insulted the Beşiktaş club.

Throughout its 121-year history, Beşiktaş has been Turkey's oldest and most respected sports club, having always placed the state's priorities ahead of its own.

It is loyal to its homeland, holds its nation in high esteem, and always stands by its state.

It is no one's place to try to use our Beşiktaş for their own ambitions by casting aspersions on our honor and integrity!

Those who attempt to do so will find the great Beşiktaş community standing against them.

We have full faith that our state will provide the necessary response to those who show such audacity.
