Beşiktaş statement on Maccabi Tel Aviv match: They will gladly come to Istanbul

Visiting the Izmir Beşiktaş Supporters Association, Yücel told reporters that they had most recently signed Joao Mario to the black-and-white colors last night, and that they had no problems with making transfers, but were experiencing issues regarding sending off current players.

Stating that the players they want to send off do not accept leaving, Yücel said, "Our hands are tied. Because if we do not issue licenses for these players, they take advantage of the just cause termination clause and demand the entire fee in their contracts. We are currently trying to send off Amartey, Chamberlain, and Aboubakar. Our colleagues are fighting tooth and nail regarding this. A miracle is needed for there to be another move in transfers from now on. We need to receive news from the interested colleagues saying, 'we have handled it, solved it, we are sending them off,' so that we can immediately turn to transfers." he said.

Regarding the allegations that the Maccabi Tel Aviv team, which they will face in Istanbul on November 28 in the UEFA Europa League, is making attempts to have the match moved to a neutral venue, Yücel said that the Israeli team is conducting "lobbying activities."

Expressing that they expect to host Maccabi Tel Aviv in Istanbul, Yücel spoke as follows:

"The other side is, to put it colloquially, being cunning; they have slowly started lobbying activities by using the press there. The Maccabi team will gladly come to Istanbul. The Republic of Turkey is a very great state. It is among the most reliable states in the world in terms of reliability. In terms of hospitality, we are the most hospitable country in the world. I can say this very clearly and plainly. Therefore, if they do not mix sports with politics and do not use this as an excuse, we will host the Maccabi team in Istanbul very nicely and ensure all their security. There will be no problems at all."

During the visit, Association President Özlem Tezişçi Çeviren presented Yücel with flowers and an eagle-figured figurine.

On the other hand, Feyyaz Uçar, Beşiktaş's football branch manager and press spokesperson representing football, who was present at the visit, also thanked Yücel for the visit, reminding that he lives in Izmir.
