Beşiktaş has begun transfer preparations to build an ambitious squad for the new season following the disappointment of the 2023-24 campaign. The latest name to enter the Black and Whites' radar is Austrian center-back Leopold Querfeld.
According to a report by the Sabah newspaper, Beşiktaş has initiated preliminary contacts with the 20-year-old defender who plays for Rapid Wien. Querfeld is also expected to feature in the friendly match against Turkey this evening.
Beşiktaş will closely monitor Querfeld and prepare a comprehensive report on the player. Querfeld, who also has suitors from Germany, has played 22 league matches this season, logging 1,980 minutes and contributing 3 goals.
