Big win for the 'Fairies of the Court' against Slovakia!

The Turkish Women's National Basketball Team defeated Slovakia 75-40 in their first match of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers Group F, which they hosted.

Starting the match quickly, the crescent-and-star team finished the first period with a 19-8 lead thanks to the points they found in the opponent's basket.

Playing effectively against their opponent in both offense and defense in the second period, the national team increased the lead to 23 and finished the first half ahead 43-20.

Maintaining their superiority in the third quarter, the crescent-and-star team extended the lead to 27 in this period. The national team entered the final quarter leading 53-26.

Increasing the lead to 35 in the final period, the Turkish Women's National Basketball Team left the court with a 75-40 victory.

Before the match, Bahar Çağlar Ökten and Tuğçe Canıtez were presented with national team jerseys by Turkish Basketball Federation Vice President Ömer Onan for their contributions to Turkish basketball.

The crescent-and-star team will face Iceland away in their second match of the group on Sunday, November 12.
