Boca Juniors President Riquelme makes statement on Torreira

Boca Juniors President Juan Roman Riquelme has made statements regarding Galatasaray's Lucas Torreira.

Giving an interview to TYC Sports, Riquelme admitted that he has spoken with several footballers recently and said that one of those names is Lucas Torreira.

'HE WANTS TO WEAR THE BOCA JERSEY'

Argentine football legend Riquelme said, "Torreira says he wants to play in a Boca jersey, he comes to Boca matches with his father. Galatasaray had bought him. Now he is in Turkey with Icardi. They won the league last year."

Recounting the conversation they had with Torreira, Riquelme stated, "He wants to play for Boca, but Galatasaray had bought his transfer rights. He told me, 'I have never earned as much money as I do now, and I signed.' So, we will see what happens."

MY BIGGEST DREAM IS BOCA JUNIORS

Giving an interview in January, Lucas Torreira had said regarding the possibility of Boca Juniors, "One of my biggest dreams is to play for Boca Juniors. I am dying to play there! We are in contact with Riquelme and I know that this possibility is getting closer because I have been in Europe for many years. I miss being at home, being close to my family."

The Uruguayan midfielder also added, "Today it seems like a normal thing to tell you this, but when I was young, thinking about talking to Riquelme was impossible. I am happy that I can do that today. I know that at some point this possibility will arise, we just have to keep feeding the dream."
