Bordeaux, one of France's historic clubs, has been transferred to the US-based investment fund Park Bench on the condition that its debts are assumed.
A notable transfer process has taken place at Bordeaux, one of the historic clubs of French football. It was announced that the club's owner, Gerard Lopez, has transferred Bordeaux to the US-based investment fund Park Bench for a price of 1 Euro.
In a statement released by the club, it was noted that the sale took place on the condition of assuming the debts and for a “symbolic price.” It was stated that the primary purpose of the transfer was to prevent the club from being completely shut down by a court order.

Regarding the legal transfer process, the statement said, “Potential buyers will appear before the Regional Management and Control Commission of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Football League in the coming days.”
Bordeaux, which has 6 championships in the French top-tier football league, was relegated to a lower league in the 2022-2023 season for failing to meet its financial obligations. The club currently competes in the regional league.
