Both Beşiktaş center-backs injured
Beşiktaş JK Medical Committee Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kerem Ülkü has released a statement regarding the health status of Paulista and Uduokhai, who were injured during the Maccabi Tel Aviv match.
Regarding the health status of the two players, Ülkü stated, "Following an evaluation and MRI imaging performed at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, our player Gabriel Paulista, who was unable to continue the match against Maccabi Tel Aviv after feeling pain in the front of his left hip during a play in the 20th minute, has been diagnosed with a full-thickness tear in the rectus femoris tendon of the hip muscle group.
Following an evaluation and MRI imaging performed at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, our player Felix Uduokhai, who was unable to continue the match after feeling pain in his left lower calf region following the first half, has been diagnosed with a strain and hemorrhage in the soleus muscle of his left lower calf. Our medical team has begun the treatment for both Gabriel Paulista and Felix Uduokhai," he said.
