Brahim Diaz has made his national team choice!
Brahim Diaz, who plays for La Liga side Real Madrid, has announced that he has chosen to represent Morocco at the international level.
Brahim Abdelkadir Diaz, the 24-year-old midfielder playing for Real Madrid in Spain's La Liga, has chosen the Morocco national team.
Born in the Spanish city of Malaga to a Moroccan father and a Spanish mother, Diaz has opted to represent Morocco.
HE HAD PLAYED FOR THE SPANISH NATIONAL TEAM
Throughout his career, Diaz played for the Spanish National Team in the under-17, under-19, and under-21 categories, and also appeared in a friendly match on June 8, 2021, where the Spanish senior national team defeated Lithuania 4-0.
However, having not found further opportunities since then, Diaz has chosen to play for the Morocco national team moving forward.
ACCUSED OF INCOMPETENCE!
The Spanish press wrote that Diaz choosing the Morocco national team is a major loss for Spain, accusing the Spanish Football Federation of "incompetence."
