It has been learned that the first indictment has been prepared within the scope of the betting and match-fixing investigation in football.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has prepared an indictment against 52 people, 5 of whom are in custody, within the scope of the betting and match-fixing investigation in football.
The investigation conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations of betting and match-fixing in football has concluded. In the prepared indictment, Zonguldakspor Futbol Kulübü AŞ is listed as the "party harmed by the crime."
Ankaraspor and Nazillispor are listed among the clubs that are "civilly liable" in the indictment.
CASE AGAINST 52 SUSPECTS
In the indictment, a total of 52 people, including Ankaraspor Club owner Ahmet Okatan, Ankaraspor Club President Mehmet Emin Katipoğlu, and Nazillispor President Şahin Kaya, are listed as suspects. It was stated that 5 of the suspects are in custody.
MATCH-FIXING CHARGES AND REQUESTED SENTENCES
The prosecution has requested that the suspects be punished for the crime of "contributing to the outcome of a sports competition in accordance with an agreement, knowing the existence of a match-fixing agreement." Furthermore, it was requested that a measure banning the suspects from attending sports competitions be applied.
