Breaking News: The long-awaited statement on Kante has arrived from Fenerbahçe!
Fenerbahçe announced that the transfer could not be completed because Al-Ittihad submitted the documents belonging to N’Golo Kante to the TMS system late. The club also reported that the appeal made to FIFA was not accepted.
Fenerbahçe announced that it had fulfilled all of its obligations on time during the transfer process for N’Golo Kanté and Youssef En-Nesyri with Al Ittihad, but that the transactions could not be completed within the deadline because the other party entered the TMS information incorrectly.
The yellow-navy blues announced that despite initiatives taken before FIFA, the transfer did not materialize because the opposing club did not finalize the transactions.
Fenerbahçe's statement is as follows:
"The transfer process involving N’Golo Kanté and Youssef En-Nesyri with Al Ittihad Club was carried out meticulously by our club as planned and in all its aspects.
In this process, which proceeded in line with the request of our technical staff, an agreement was reached with the players; the medical checks of the player to be transferred were completed, the necessary approvals were obtained, and our club fulfilled all its obligations in full and within the specified time. The documents regarding the transfer registration were uploaded to the system correctly and completely within the determined period.
However, due to the incorrect entry of the relevant TMS information by the opposing club, the transactions could not be completed within the transfer registration period, independent of our club. In this direction, an extension was requested, the necessary negotiations were carried out by our club before FIFA, and all steps were taken to resolve the process. Despite this, in the ongoing process, the transactions were not completed by the opposing club without any justification being provided to us.
As a result of these developments, the transfer process in question could unfortunately not be concluded.
We understand and share the disappointment this process has caused in our community.
Our club continues its squad structuring with the same determination and discipline in line with its sporting goals.
