Breaking News: UEFA hands Merih Demiral a 2-match ban

UEFA has announced the penalty for Merih Demiral, against whom it had launched an investigation due to his 'Grey Wolf' goal celebration during the Austria match.

The national football player has been given a 2-match suspension.

TFF AND MERİH APPEAL TO CAS

Following UEFA's decision, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and Merih Demiral have made an official appeal to the CAS to have the penalty overturned.

30-PAGE DEFENSE FOR MERİH

Prior to UEFA's decision, the TFF prepared a 30-page defense for Merih Demiral.

According to information received from federation officials, the file sent to the UEFA Disciplinary Committee included numerous previous examples and highlighted that the Grey Wolf sign is a 1,000-year-old symbol for Turkic peoples in Anatolia, Central Asia, and many parts of the world.
