Netflix has announced that it has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra. Under the agreement, all matches in the tournament will be broadcast live exclusively on Netflix in both countries.

The 2030 event, which will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the World Cup, will be held between June 8 and July 21, 2030. The main hosts of the tournament will be Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. As one of the host countries, Spain will participate in the tournament.

In addition to match broadcasts, Netflix will also produce pre-match, halftime, and post-match programs. The platform will also air daily highlights on match days and special content leading up to the tournament.

Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria stated that the World Cup is one of the most important events that brings people together, adding that they are pleased to bring all matches of the tournament, which will be hosted by Spain, to viewers in Spain and Andorra.

FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström also expressed his satisfaction with expanding their collaboration with Netflix. Grafström emphasized that their goal is to bring football fans closer to the tournament.

Due to the 100th-anniversary nature of the 2030 World Cup, special matches will also be played in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay. Netflix's collaboration with FIFA also includes the broadcasting rights for the 2027 and 2031 Women's World Cups in the USA and Canada.
