Burak Yılmaz reveals how he was defrauded: They sold him a mountain instead of a plot of land

Former footballer and manager Burak Yılmaz has revealed for the first time a fraud incident that occurred between 2008 and 2010, when he was playing for Fenerbahçe. 

Speaking on a YouTube channel, Yılmaz recounted the details of the fraud he experienced during that period.

In his remarks, Burak Yılmaz said, “I was playing for Fenerbahçe, I was 23 years old. One day, the whole team was coming out of the same room. I asked Selçuk Şahin, ‘What’s going on, brother?’ He said, ‘Come on, we’re buying land.’ I told the man inside that I wanted to buy some too. He said things like, ‘I’ve set aside the best spot for you.’”

THE TRUTH CAME TO LIGHT 

Yılmaz stated that he learned years later from his father that the land he bought in Kocaeli-İzmit was actually a mountain. “When I was playing for Galatasaray, my father said one day, ‘Let me go and take a look at that land.’ My father called me and said, ‘Son, they sold you a mountain, it’s a shame.’ Even now, the land isn’t worth even a tenth of the money I paid for it back then,” he said.
