Call to Fenerbahçe fans from İlker Başbuğ! 'Now a second test awaits us'

Following the events that took place during the Trabzonspor match, all eyes are on April 2 in Fenerbahçe, which has decided to hold an extraordinary general assembly with the agenda of withdrawing from the league.

Before the critical meeting, Fenerbahçe High Council Board Member İlker Başbuğ made striking statements.

Speaking at the council meeting, Başbuğ recalled the FETÖ conspiracy of July 3, 2011, and stated, "Fenerbahçe Club faced the FETÖ conspiracy, and this process lasted a long time. We are seeing the results of it these days. After the conspiracy against Fenerbahçe, we experienced a series of conspiracies. As someone who lived through those days, only one institution remained standing during this process of conspiracies, and that was the Fenerbahçe Sports Club. It stood tall and fought with its fans and its club president. There were those who did not believe in the struggle back then, but today we have been proven right. The last Trabzonspor match was the final straw. Just as Fenerbahçe fans passed a successful test against the FETÖ conspiracy, now a second test awaits us."

Başbuğ continued his words as follows;

"BE AT THE STADIUM AT THE SPECIFIED TIME ON APRIL 2"

"Fenerbahçe Sports Club will emerge from this process successfully as well. I have no doubt about that. But something must definitely be done. Silence is no longer an option after this point. My first call is: Fenerbahçe Sports Club members, all of you be at the stadium at the specified time on April 2. My second call is this: as club members, give the Fenerbahçe President and the board of directors the authority to make decisions unconditionally on that day. Our board of directors must definitely use reason and identify one by one what they want and do not want from the TFF. We are all behind you! Whatever decision you make, we are with you; do not have the slightest doubt about this."
