Former Beşiktaş president Hasan Arat was subjected to a physical assault while taking the podium to deliver a speech.
Following the intervention of security forces, the Board of Trustees meeting was adjourned.
Candaş Tolga Işık made a striking claim following the incident.

Speaking on Ekol TV during a broadcast with Sergen Yalçın, Candaş Tolga Işık addressed the events.
Işık stated, "If a step is not taken regarding this matter, I am going to say something very strange, and I say it with conviction.
They are going to kill someone from the Beşiktaş Board of Trustees. There are many people there who look like mafia. How can one have the audacity to throw a punch?
You wouldn't even show this kind of audacity in a coffeehouse.
They need to prosecute these people to the fullest extent of the law. I am saying it again here. If measures are not taken against these actions, someone will die! Just watch, you will see."
