Candidacy statement from Hakan Bilal Kutlualp: Will he withdraw?
Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Hakan Bilal Kutlualp has addressed questions regarding whether he would withdraw his candidacy should Aziz Yıldırım enter the race.
A protest march against Fenerbahçe president Ali Koç was held. Organized by fan groups, the march featured demands for Koç's resignation.
WILL KUTLUALP WITHDRAW HIS CANDIDACY?
Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Hakan Bilal Kutlualp, who participated in the march, responded to questions about whether he would withdraw his candidacy if Aziz Yıldırım decides to run in the elections.
Kutlualp stated, "I am not considering withdrawing from the presidency. I did not consult anyone when I set out on this path. If the community tells me, 'You will be a cashier,' I can sell Fenerbahçe jerseys as a cashier at Fenerium," he said.
Noting that he has had no contact with Ali Koç, Kutlualp said, "He is the president of Fenerbahçe; if he tells me to 'come,' would I not go? I respect the institution of Fenerbahçe." Emphasizing that he is willing to speak with anyone for the sake of Fenerbahçe and share his ideas, Kutlualp added, "I am not going to do what someone says just because they called me. I will talk to everyone and explain what is right and what is wrong."
