Carlos Alcaraz is the Wimbledon champion
In the Wimbledon Men's Singles final, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic 3-0 with sets of 6-2, 6-2, and 7-6, winning Wimbledon for the second consecutive time.
Spanish athlete Carlos Alcaraz, the number 3 seed, became the champion at Wimbledon, the season's third grand slam tennis tournament, after defeating the number 2 seed, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, 3-0 in the men's singles final.
In the men's singles final of the tournament held in the capital London, Djokovic, who has 7 Wimbledon titles, faced the defending champion Alcaraz.
The Spanish tennis player, who won the first two sets with scores of 6-2 to take a 2-0 lead, also won the third set 7-6, emerging victorious from the match 3-0 and reaching the championship for the second time in a row in the tournament.
Final matches in the tournament had not ended 3-0 since 2018.
The two players also met in last year's Wimbledon final, where Alcaraz left the court with a 3-2 victory (1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4).
Meanwhile, Catherine, Princess of Wales, also attended the match.
