Cedric Bakambu: 'This is a great opportunity'

Democratic Congolese forward Cedric Bakambu, who did not find much playing time at Galatasaray and headed to La Liga side Real Betis during the winter transfer window, spoke to the Spanish press.

Speaking about his transfer, Bakambu said, "It is one of my most exciting transfers. I am ready to show my talent and everything I have inside."

The experienced player, who also played for Villarreal in the past, stated, "There is not a huge difference between the time I spent at Villarreal and now. I am still the same player, but I am more experienced now. My current state of mind is the version where I feel best."

Stating that his conversation with Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini was pleasant and that Pellegrini made a great effort for him to join the team, Bakambu said, "I have to give everything to prove that I am not a wrong transfer. This is a great opportunity. I know I can do great things."
