Celtic bans fans belonging to the 'Green Brigade' group that supports Palestine from home matches

According to reports in the British press, the club sent an email to members of the fan group stating that season ticket holders are banned from attending home matches. The report in Haber Global emphasized that the decision came after fans unfurled Palestinian flags in the stands during the UEFA Champions League match played against Atletico Madrid.

It was stated that the club had previously received fines twice due to the demonstrations by "Green Brigade" members and that it feared further disciplinary action from UEFA.

FAN GROUP ISSUED A STATEMENT

Despite criticism from the club management, Celtic fans continued their support for Palestine during the away match played against Hearts. Hundreds of Celtic fans, who took their places in the stands to support their team away from home, unfurled Palestinian flags during the Hearts match.

In a statement regarding the matter, the fan group said, "Our belief that football fans, like ordinary citizens in other parts of society, have the right to express their political views in the stands remains unshaken. We will not be dictated to by an elitist board of directors that belittles the history and traditions of Celtic Football Club."
