Champions League format changed
As of the 2025/2026 season, the current format of the UEFA Women's Champions League will change.
A new format has been approved for the Women's Champions League.
In a statement from UEFA, it was noted that the format change will be effective starting from the 2025/26 season.
It was also noted that all changes to be made will be announced on December 4.
The statement on UEFA's website reported that the new format will feature 18 teams, and the knockout stage will begin after 3 home and 3 away matches.
The Women's Champions League is currently played in a format consisting of 4 groups of 4 teams each.
It was also announced that a second tournament will be created in addition to the Champions League.
