Championship record for Toprak Razgatlıoğlu in Superbike: He celebrated with the Yusuf Dikeç pose
National motorcycle racer Toprak Razgatlıoğlu has broken the championship record with 12 consecutive victories after winning the Superpole race at the 7th leg of the World Superbike Championship in Portugal.
At the 4.6-kilometer Algarve International Circuit in Portimao, Portugal, Rokit BMW team rider Toprak Razgatlıoğlu crossed the finish line first once again after 10 laps in the Superpole race.
By winning his 12th consecutive race in the World Superbike Championship, Toprak Razgatlıoğlu became the sole holder of the record he previously shared with Alvaro Bautista and Jonathan Rea.
Making history in the championship, Toprak Razgatlıoğlu celebrated his victory by mimicking the shooting style of national marksman Yusuf Dikeç, who won a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, hitting the target board brought onto the track at the "12" mark.
FINAL RACE AT 20:00
Toprak, the leader of the riders' standings, increased his points to 340, extending the gap between him and his closest rival, Nicolo Bulega (Ducati), to 87 points.
The final race in Portugal will take place today at 20:00 TSI.
