Change in the National Team: 2 players removed from the squad

The Turkish Football Federation has announced a change to the National Team squad.

In a statement released on the federation's website, it was stated that İsmail Yüksek and Mert Günok, who are still dealing with injuries, have been removed from the squad.

The statement noted that the two players will continue their treatment at their respective clubs, adding, "Following health checks conducted on our National Team, which began training in Istanbul yesterday for the UEFA Nations League matches against Montenegro and Iceland, it was determined that the injuries of İsmail Yüksek and Mert Günok would not fully heal during the match period."

The TFF's statement also noted that Berke Özer has been called up to the National Team squad.

WHEN ARE THE MONTENEGRO AND ICELAND MATCHES?

The National Team will face Montenegro in its 3rd match of the UEFA Nations League. The match will be played on Friday, October 11, at the Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium and will kick off at 21:45.

In its 4th match of the Nations League, the National Team will be the guest of Iceland. The match, which will start at 21:45 Turkish time, will be played on Monday, October 14.
