Charles Leclerc wins the Italian Grand Prix in Formula 1
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has won the Italian Grand Prix, the 16th race of the Formula 1 season.
Formula 1 World Championship's 16th race of the season, the Italian Grand Prix, was won by Ferrari's Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc.
The race, held on the 5.7-kilometer track sharing the same name as the Italian city of Monza, was contested over 53 laps.
Leclerc crossed the finish line first with a time of 1:14.40. This marks the second time this season the Monegasque driver has stood on the top step of the podium. Australian Oscar Piastri (McLaren) finished second, 2.66 seconds behind the leader. McLaren's Lando Norris reached the finish line 6.15 seconds after the leader.
In the races held this season in F1, Max Verstappen has taken first place 7 times, while in addition to Leclerc, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton have each topped the podium twice, and George Russell, Carlos Sainz, and Oscar Piastri have each done so once.
The 17th race of the season, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, will be held from September 13-15.
