Chelsea offers 3 players to Beşiktaş!
During the winter transfer window, English giant Chelsea's owner Todd Boehly offered Sarr, Washington, and Santos to Beşiktaş to trim their bloated squad.
It is claimed that during the winter transfer window, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly offered 3 of his players to Beşiktaş. It is alleged that Chelsea, which is having a poor season in the English Premier League and sits in 11th place, offered some of its players to Beşiktaş to reduce the excess in its squad.
According to a report by the Mirror newspaper, the English club's American owner, Todd Boehly, believes the squad needs to be trimmed by next summer in order to make transfers under Financial Fair Play regulations.
The report states that since taking over Chelsea, Boehly has spent over 1 billion pounds to sign a large number of players, leaving manager Mauricio Pochettino and his predecessors with a very crowded squad. It was emphasized that in this context, Todd Boehly aimed to clear out the squad by offering 3 of his players to Beşiktaş.
It is stated that the American businessman first offered the black-and-white team the opportunity to purchase Malang Sarr. Additionally, it is noted that young names such as Deivid Washington and Andrey Santos have also been offered to Beşiktaş in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old French center-back Sarr has not played for Chelsea at all this season and spent last season on loan at Monaco. 18-year-old Deivid Washington, who was transferred from Santos last summer for a 16 million Euro transfer fee, is also one of the players struggling to find playing time at Chelsea. Santos plays as a defensive midfielder and was transferred to Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in January 2023. After spending the first half of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest, he was loaned to Strasbourg on the final day of the winter transfer window.
