In the FIFA Club World Cup final held in the USA, English side Chelsea and French representatives Paris Saint-Germain faced off at MetLife Stadium. In the 22nd minute of the match, officiated by Australian referee Alireza Faghani, Cole Palmer opened the scoring, putting Chelsea 1-0 ahead. Cole Palmer stepped up again in the 30th minute to score the goal that brought the score to 2-0. With Joao Pedro's goal in the 43rd minute, the English side went into the locker room with a 3-0 lead.

PSG finished the match with 10 men after Joao Neves received a red card in the 85th minute, and the match ended with a 3-0 victory for Chelsea. With this result, the English team took the trophy home.
