Claim: Mircea Lucescu has suffered brain death

According to reports in the Romanian press, it has been reported that Mircea Lucescu has suffered brain death. It was stated that the 80-year-old manager, who has been under treatment in intensive care for some time, has not responded to the treatments administered.

In a statement made by the Bucharest University Hospital earlier in the day, it was announced that Lucescu's condition had worsened after his heart rhythm disorder increased during the night and he failed to respond to treatment, leading to his transfer to the intensive care unit.

FELL ILL DURING CAMP

It was learned that the experienced manager fell ill while at the Romanian National Team camp on March 29 and was taken to the hospital. It was stated that Lucescu, whose contract was terminated by the federation on April 2, has been receiving treatment in the hospital for approximately one week.
