Clear message from Konyaspor regarding the cup final venue: 'The final should be played in Antalya'

In a statement published on social media, Konyaspor used the following expressions: ''It was announced by the Turkish Football Federation weeks ago that the Ziraat Turkish Cup Final would be played in Antalya, and all planning has been carried out accordingly.

In recent days, various assessments regarding changing the city where the final match will be played have come to the agenda. As Tümosan Konyaspor, we would like to respectfully state that it would be correct for the final to be played in Antalya as previously announced.

We have always maintained our relations with Trabzonspor Club within the framework of mutual respect and friendship, and this same understanding continues today. Likewise, our relations with the Turkish Football Federation are based on institutionalism and mutual respect.

Antalya is one of the most suitable cities for such a major final with its facilities, organizational power, transportation opportunities, and football atmosphere. We do not believe there is any reason to require a change of the final venue.

Our wish is to experience an exemplary final atmosphere where the spirit of fair play is at the forefront, and where friendship and football win.''

Thus, Konyaspor gave a clear message against the stadium change claims voiced recently, stating that the venue should remain as Antalya.
