In the message shared on the club's website, it was stated, "We have learned with sadness the news of the passing of the 16-week-old baby of our player Umut Nayir and his dear wife Enfal Diner Nayir. We extend our condolences to our player and his family."
The national footballer's wife, Enfal Diner Nayir, stated in a post on her social media account, "When we went for a doctor's check-up yesterday, we learned that our 16-week-old baby's heart had stopped. Today, we said goodbye to our daughter. We hope you will show the necessary sensitivity and respect for us and our grief."
