Controversial president Luis Rubiales' ban upheld!
FIFA has upheld the 3-year ban on former Spanish Football Federation President Luis Rubiales, who kissed Spanish national team player Jennifer Hermoso on the lips.
FIFA has upheld the three-year ban imposed on former Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) President Luis Rubiales.
In a statement released by FIFA, it was stated, "The FIFA Appeal Committee has decided to reject Luis Rubiales' appeal and uphold the sanction following the hearing."
Rubiales has the right to take the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Rubiales had kissed national team player Jennifer Hermoso on the lips during the medal ceremony following the FIFA Women's World Cup final last summer, where Spain emerged as champions, and subsequently resigned following the pressure that followed.
