Çorum FK begins Süper Lig campaign with a draw against Galatasaray
In the opening match of the 2026-2027 Süper Lig season, defending champions Galatasaray faced off against league newcomers Çorum FK.
In the 25th minute of the match played at Rams Park, a goal scored by Galatasaray's Yunus Akgün was disallowed due to offside.
The first half of the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Galatasaray, which started the second half with pressure, took the lead with a goal in the 53rd minute.
Victor Osimhen, who slipped behind the defense following a pass from Lucas Torreira, rounded goalkeeper Felipe and sent the ball into the net with a shot from a tight angle on the right side of the penalty area, bringing the score to 1-0.

Çorum FK was reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute. Alexandros Kyziridis was shown a straight red card following a harsh challenge on Yunus Akgün, leaving his team with 10 players.
From a corner kick taken by Gabriel Sara on the right wing, Victor Osimhen rose well in the penalty area and restored balance to the match with a header, bringing the score to 2-2.

There were no further goals in the remaining time, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
