The countdown has begun for Mert Hakan Yandaş's return to the pitch at Fenerbahçe. The 12-month ban from football-related activities imposed by the PFDK on the grounds of "betting activities" had been reduced to 6 months by the Arbitration Board.
The 32-year-old footballer's suspension will end on Thursday, October 1. Following this date, the experienced midfielder is expected to be included in the squad planning once again.

Although Mert Hakan Yandaş remained away from the team during the suspension process, he continued his training to return to the pitch. It was noted that the footballer played his last official match on March 28, 2025.
With Yandaş's return, competition in the Fenerbahçe midfield is expected to increase. It is also stated that head coach İsmail Kartal will have more alternatives in his player pool following the international break.
