Coventry City in the semi-finals after 37 years!
In the English F.A. Cup, Coventry City defeated Wolverhampton 3-2 after trailing 2-1 in the final minutes, advancing to the semi-finals for the first time in 37 years. Haji Wright scored the winning goal for Coventry City.
In the first match of the day in the F.A. Cup, Wolverhampton and Coventry City faced off at Molineux.
The second half turned into a goal-scoring duel, with Coventry City winning the match 3-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the F.A. Cup.
Wolverhampton's goals came from Rayan Ait-Nouri in the 83rd minute and Hugo Bueno in the 88th minute. Coventry City's goals were scored by Ellis Simms in the 53rd and 90+7th minutes, and by former Antalyaspor player Haji Wright in the 90+10th minute.
SEMI-FINALS AFTER 37 YEARS
Competing in the English Championship, Coventry City has reached the F.A. Cup semi-finals for the first time since 1987.
In 1987, Coventry City reached the semi-finals by eliminating Sheffield Wednesday, and subsequently defeated Leeds United to reach the final.
In the final, Coventry City defeated Tottenham 3-2 to claim the championship.
