Criminal complaint from Fenerbahçe

In a written statement issued by the Fenerbahçe Sports Club President and Board of Directors on the yellow-navy club's official website, the following expressions were included:

"We are carefully following the baseless claims, distorted information, and organized manipulation attempts that have been systematically circulated on social media platforms recently. Legal processes have been initiated regarding the false accusations and slanders that have been prepared as if from a single source and organized to be brought to the agenda; criminal complaints have begun to be filed against the relevant individuals and accounts. The process regarding these individuals who harm our club will be pursued with determination.

As the Fenerbahçe Board of Directors, we are aware that the decisions made and steps taken in a sporting sense are open to interpretation and can be criticized when necessary. Every comment and criticism shared sincerely by our members and fans is essential and valuable to us. In this direction, we always make our own evaluations and self-criticisms. We feel and understand the sentiment created by the consecutive on-field results of our football team recently in the strongest way, together with our community. We carry the responsibility of this on our shoulders. We never shy away from addressing every issue that needs to be discussed on the right platform and in an open manner. However, it is clear how unhealthy and damaging an atmosphere this environment creates for our Fenerbahçe, where false and manipulative content originating from a single center is brought to the agenda through anonymous fake accounts, and the same content is coordinatedly conveyed to the public by some individuals through various media outlets."

"No attempt to influence our community has any place at Fenerbahçe"

While congress members and fans were asked to be more careful than ever against claims, slanders, and manipulations that have no source or basis, it was stated, "There is no place at Fenerbahçe for any attempt to direct the agenda and influence our community through lies, falsehoods, and slanders that are tried to be implemented via social media; it is clear that these methods will not yield results. Fenerbahçe's agenda is not determined by perceptions tried to be created in different channels, but by the realities of our club and the will of our community. All topics regarding our club's agenda will be comprehensively addressed at our High Council Meeting to be held in April."
