Crisis between Galatasaray and Puma!
Galatasaray has requested a change to its kit sponsorship deal with PUMA, asking for an increase in the annual payment amount. However, PUMA has rejected this request.
Galatasaray, which has won consecutive championships in the Süper Lig in recent years, has significantly increased its team value by adding world-class players such as Victor Osimhen and Leroy Sané to its squad. Following these developments, the yellow-red team requested a re-evaluation of the terms of the 5-year kit sponsorship agreement it signed with PUMA last year. Galatasaray demanded an additional 5 million euros per year from PUMA, but this request was not accepted.
FENERBAHÇE HAD AGREED WITH ADIDAS FOR 11 MILLION
It is stated that the deal Fenerbahçe made with Adidas, from which it earns approximately 11 million euros per year, is influential behind Galatasaray's request. This income of Fenerbahçe is more than double the revenue Galatasaray earns from its current agreement. This situation has led the Galatasaray management to seek a new sponsorship. If PUMA does not accept Galatasaray's demands, the yellow-red team plans to sign an agreement with a different sponsor.
