Crisis between Sadettin Saran and Ali Koç! A 'baklava' joke breaks the ties
As disagreements within the Fenerbahçe administration deepen, criticism directed at Sadettin Saran is mounting. The crisis, which has grown with Ali Koç's remarks and the harsh words of Aziz Yıldırım and Hulusi Belgü, has turned all eyes toward the critical meeting on April 18.
The unrest emerging within the management wing of the Fenerbahçe club has caused deep cracks within the community. The atmosphere of support that had been expected for a long time has given way to serious distrust following recent developments. In the process, which is being closely watched by fans, President Sadettin Saran is at the center of the criticism. Saran, who came to office with the support of many members of the community, has become the target of arrows of criticism, especially in recent weeks. The most notable opposition has come from the club's former president, Ali Koç.
According to a report by Sözcü, the first major disagreement between President Saran and Ali Koç began with Murat Salar's statements regarding a cash deficit reaching 190 million Euros. Not remaining indifferent to this statement, Ali Koç sent a letter to Saran, clearly expressing his reaction.
THE 'BAKLAVA' JOKE LIT THE FUSE
The "baklava" joke circulating in the corridors during that period and the friction over sponsorship agreements have almost completely burned the bridges between the two names. Ali Koç's team argues that although they faced similar economic difficulties during their own tenure, they overcame the problem by finding new resources. The criticisms directed at the Saran wing are not limited to the financial picture.
Hulusi Belgü, who previously served as a board member responsible for volleyball, also held Saran and his team responsible for the failures. He specifically stated that timing errors were made in transfers and that contracts with Vargas, Fedorovtseva, and Ana Cristina were not renewed. Belgü said, "The construction of the training hall, for which approval had been obtained, the contract had been prepared, and the payment had been made to the contractor, was not started. Moreover, although Sadettin Saran had agreed to sponsor this hall before his presidency, support for the project was withdrawn once he took office."
AZİZ YILDIRIM IS ALSO REACTIVE
Another notable name in the controversy is the legendary president of Fenerbahçe, Aziz Yıldırım. In his statement, Yıldırım expressed his reaction to the Saran administration by saying, "There must be such an administration that when it stands before the state, the state must respect you."
All eyes are now turned to the High Council meeting to be held on April 18. At this gathering, where the balance of power in Fenerbahçe will be discussed, it seems that the management war that has been going on behind the scenes for some time will be reflected to the public even more clearly.
