All eyes at the Turkish Football Federation have turned to the board meeting to be held on Friday, October 9. The TFF Board of Directors will convene at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities in Riva with an "extraordinary elective congress" on the agenda.
It was reported that the meeting time has been set for 14:00. TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, who could not attend the previous meeting due to a UEFA program in Berlin, is also expected to return to Turkey on the morning of October 9 to participate in the critical discussion.
MEETING FOLLOWING THE REFEREES INVESTIGATION
The meeting at the TFF has gained particular importance following the "Referees file" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Within the scope of the investigation, 5 people, including Central Referee Board Chairman Ferhat Gündoğdu, were sent to prison on October 3.

Süper Lig referee Yasin Kol and assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel were also arrested on October 5. Following these developments, which have caused a wide stir in the football community, the option of an elective congress is expected to be put on the table by the board of directors.
According to reports, a significant portion of the board members are in favor of holding an elective general congress. It is stated that Hacıosmanoğlu, however, is considering continuing his duties.

The decision to emerge from the meeting in Riva will be closely watched in terms of the federation management's roadmap and the atmosphere created in Turkish football following the investigation.
