Following recent developments in Turkish football, all eyes have turned to the Turkish Football Federation. The TFF Board of Directors will address three critical topics at a meeting to be held in Istanbul today at 14:00.
The main agenda items for the meeting include whether to hold an extraordinary elective general assembly, the latest situation regarding the Central Referee Committee (MHK), and the future of A National Team Head Coach Vincenzo Montella.
TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, who is currently in Berlin, is expected to return to Istanbul today and chair the board meeting.
One of the topics on the federation's agenda is the “referees file” investigation. It was previously reported that 5 people, including MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu, were arrested as part of the investigation, and that referee Yasin Kol and assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel were also sent to prison.
While it is claimed that the majority of board members have expressed their opinion in favor of holding an elective general assembly, it is stated that Hacıosmanoğlu wishes to continue in his post. Today's meeting is expected to be decisive for the federation's roadmap.
