Italian club Roma has announced that Daniele De Rossi has been appointed as manager until the end of the season.
After parting ways with Jose Mourinho, Roma has announced its new manager. The yellow-and-reds stated that their legendary former player, Daniele De Rossi, has been appointed to the position until the end of the season. Following the agreement, De Rossi stated, "I would like to thank the Friedkin family for entrusting me with the responsibility of managing Roma. The feeling of being able to sit on our bench is indescribable. Everyone knows what Roma means to me. The only priorities for my staff and me will be to be competitive, fight for our goals, and try to achieve them," he said.
The 40-year-old De Rossi most recently managed SPAL. De Rossi was also part of the coaching staff during Italy's EURO 2020 victory.
Having played for Boca Juniors in addition to Roma during his professional football career, De Rossi was also a member of the Italy squad that won the 2006 World Cup.
