Heidenheim, visiting Darmstadt 98 in the 31st week of the Bundesliga, secured the victory with a goal scored by Nikola Dovedan in the 90th minute.
With this result, bottom-placed Darmstadt 98 remains at 17 points, confirming their relegation from the league with 3 matches remaining.
Heidenheim, meanwhile, moved to 10th place with 37 points.
