Decision to part ways at Fenerbahçe: Statement from Cihan Kamer on Çağlar Söyüncü

With the transfer window in the Süper Lig set to close on September 4, the agenda of departures has come to the forefront at Fenerbahçe. It has been announced that the yellow-navy club will part ways with Becao, Diego Carlos, Talisca, and Çağlar Söyüncü.

Fenerbahçe Board Member Cihan Kamer made evaluations regarding the departure decisions during a sponsorship meeting at the club. Kamer opened a separate parenthesis specifically for national footballer Çağlar Söyüncü.

Addressing the fans, Kamer stated that they expect positive support from the stands throughout the 90 minutes.

''During this process we are going through, some Turkish friends of mine whom I visited at Samandıra... Çağlar is one of them. One of the reasons for our parting with Çağlar is the psychological state that Çağlar was put into by our fans. We expect positive support from our fans in the stadium for the full 90 minutes. Hopefully, we will win the derby as well. Hopefully, we will beat Roma and enter the round of 16.''

Kamer's statement has brought the discussions regarding squad planning and the atmosphere in the stands at Fenerbahçe back to the agenda as the final days of the transfer window approach.
