Departure at Beşiktaş: Rıza Çalımbay cuts two names
Beşiktaş manager Rıza Çalımbay was reportedly dissatisfied with the performance of two players during the friendly match against Sakaryaspor.
Beşiktaş won 2-1 in the friendly match they played against Sakaryaspor during the international break. It has been suggested that manager Rıza Çalımbay was not satisfied with the performances of Jean Onana and Umut Meraş, who played in this match.
According to a report by Milliyet Newspaper; Onana and Umut, whom Rıza Çalımbay started in the first 11 to see their current form, failed to make good use of the critical opportunity they were given.
Onana drew criticism for his simple ball losses in midfield and his ineffective play.
Umut Meraş, who has been on the bench for a long time, also displayed an ineffective performance in the left-back position.
It was reported that Çalımbay will provide a negative report to the new management regarding the two players whose performances he was not satisfied with.
Beşiktaş had added Onana to their squad from Lens at the beginning of the season for a transfer fee of 4 million euros. It was emphasized that if a suitor emerges for the 23-year-old player, who signed a four-year contract, a loan with a purchase option is being considered.
