Departure at Beşiktaş: Spanish defender's contract terminated
Beşiktaş has parted ways with Spanish defender Francisco Montero.
Beşiktaş has terminated the contract of Montero by mutual agreement.
The statement from the black-and-white club is as follows:
"We have terminated our contract with our professional football player Francisco Montero by mutual agreement.
We wish Francisco Montero success in his future career and present this to the public."
2 GOALS AND 2 ASSISTS IN 46 MATCHES
Montero, who was loaned from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and signed permanently the following season, played in 46 matches for Beşiktaş and contributed 2 goals and 2 assists to the black-and-white team.
The 25-year-old defender was sent on loan to Hamburg in the second half of the 2022-2023 season and to Arouca in the 2023-2024 season."
