It has been alleged that the Turkish Football Federation will appoint a Turkish referee for the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray derby to be held on March 29, and that this referee will be Halil Umut Meler.
Zafer Algöz, a die-hard Beşiktaş fan, expressed his reaction following these reports in the press. The famous actor stated, "If they give that match to Halil Umut Meler, I will enter the pitch. There is no such thing. We want a foreign referee!"
