Dimitris Itoudis bids farewell to Fenerbahçe

Greek head coach Dimitris Itoudis, who has parted ways with Fenerbahçe Beko, said goodbye to the club via social media.

Here is Itoudis' statement;

"After a fulfilling year and a half in Istanbul filled with precious memories, I have learned that my journey with the Fenerbahçe Family has come to an end. The time we spent together was marked by significant victories, and in our first season, we were just seconds away from reaching the EuroLeague Final Four.

We also faced challenges and moments that could have steered our journey in a different direction. However, I assure our fans that our determination never wavered during those times; we often fought tirelessly despite all the difficulties. I am not someone who criticizes and gives up on the team. I will never stop believing in the team we built this year and the players I coached. I am proud of them, and I believe they will be in the Final Four even in my absence because they truly deserve it.

I extend my deepest gratitude to my dedicated staff, who played a crucial role with their countless hours of hard work and unwavering support.

'UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN...'

Finally, and most importantly, I offer my greatest thanks to the Fenerbahçe fans. The warm welcome and endless love you showed during my tenure were invaluable. Together this year, we created an impregnable arena that remained undefeated, a testament to your magnificent support and the spirit we built.
