A disappointing start for Başakşehir

In the first week of the UEFA Conference League, Başakşehir was defeated 2-1 at home by Austrian side Rapid Wien.

In the 43rd minute of the match played at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, Rapid Wien took a 1-0 lead with a goal from Louis Schaub.

Başakşehir's response to this goal was swift. In the 45+2nd minute, Krzysztof Piatek equalized the score at 1-1 with a header.

The second half began with a goal. In the 46th minute, Louis Schaub scored his and his team's second goal, putting his side ahead once again at 2-1.

There were no further goals in the remainder of the match, and Rapid Wien emerged as the winning side.

In the second half of the match, a goal scored by Rapid Wien's Dion Drena Beljo was disallowed following a VAR review.

In the second week of the UEFA Conference League, Başakşehir will play away against Celje, while Rapid Wien will host Noah.
