Djiku reacts to accusations: 'It is unacceptable to see my name tarnished'

Fenerbahçe defender Alexander Djiku has responded on his social media account to allegations that he was playing a console game in his private vehicle following their 1-0 loss to Beşiktaş. Djiku stated that these claims do not reflect the truth and have damaged his honor.

In his statement, Djiku included the following remarks: 'I would like to issue a clear denial regarding a video currently circulating that unfairly accuses me. This content, which has been taken out of its true context and distorted, damages my honor and casts a serious shadow over my image.'

Furthermore, emphasizing the responsibility of spreading unverified information, Djiku said, 'Journalists and media representatives are obligated to verify their sources before publishing, rather than sharing baseless content solely for the purpose of creating a sensation.'

'IT IS UNACCEPTABLE TO SEE MY NAME TARNISHED'

Expressing his commitment to Fenerbahçe, Djiku stated, 'I have always shown a sincere and consistent commitment to our club. Therefore, it is unacceptable to see my name tarnished by baseless accusations.' He also noted that he reserves the right to pursue legal action.

In yesterday's derby, Djiku had entered the game in the 59th minute, replacing Bright Osayi-Samuel.
