Domenico Tedesco, who was appointed as the head coach of Bologna following his tenure at Fenerbahçe, could not start his Italian career as he had hoped. Under Tedesco's management, Bologna left both of their first two league matches with a defeat.
The Italian team was defeated 1-0 by Lazio in the first league match under Tedesco's leadership. Bologna also left the pitch with the same score against Atalanta in the second week. Thus, Tedesco's first two league tests with his new team were completed without any points.
It was also notable that Bologna failed to score in these two matches. The team under Tedesco's management could not find the back of the net in two matches while conceding a total of 2 goals.
Tedesco's departure from Fenerbahçe had caused controversy among the yellow-navy fans during his time there. Although the team could not reach the championship, some fans found the performance during the Tedesco era sufficient and criticized the decision to part ways.
The two 1-0 defeats suffered at Bologna have brought Tedesco's start in his new role to a negative point. The head coach has not yet met with a point or a goal in Serie A.
